Our history

In the early 1980s John Gwynn worked for an international development organisation looking at the needs of homeless people in third world countries. While doing this he began to see that many people in his local area of south London were facing similar problems with homelessness and social exclusion. .
In particular he could see that young people, who did not qualify for statutory help, often fell through the housing net.
